Brandon and Jeff were phenomenal guides. I was with Jeff for day two in Custer and Summit Day on Devils Tower. He was knowledgeable, patient, encouraging, and enhanced the experience. Safety was their priority number 1 and I did not feel unsafe at any given point. I would highly recommend Sylvan Rocks Climbing School to anyone looking to climb in the Black Hills.
Just finished our fourth trip out with Sylvan Rocks. They planted the climbing bug in my son in 2014, and we have climbed with them every chance we got. Each time, their guides -- looking at you Shankar -- upped our climbing game with thoughtfully planned climbing expeditions that were fun and challenging. These guys will take you to unbelievable places, and will do it safely and professionally.
I can’t say enough good things about Jeff and Brandon and the awesome experience I had climbing in Custer State Park! I learned so many cool new skills, achieved new goals, had great conversation, and felt super safe the whole time. Jeff also went out of his way to spend a couple additional hours with me to talk through all the cool things to do in Custer during my visit. Not to mention, he and Brandon have pinspired me to pursue van life part-time, and they have been providing me with helpful tips throughout my van search. Who would have thought so much could be achieved in one day? I highly recommend a visit to climb with them!
