Yesterday my husband, 13-year-old son and I went rock climbing for the first time with our guide, Bears! This was one of the most amazing things we have done this summer in the Black Hills! I would highly recommend Sylvan Rocks and Bears! She was so patient with us as first timers and with our son and all his questions! I never in a million years thought we would be rock climbing but we are ready to book our next climb already a day later!

Great folks here at Sylvan Rocks! I had an 8 hr guided adventure booked with them. Unfortunately ‘twas the morn’ of our adventure and the rain was a-threatenin’. My heart took a dive as I reckoned we weren’t gonna make it to the Spires of Cathedral. Brief was the pain though, as my guide, Shankar, lead us up to some of the most stunning views atop Sylvan Lake! It was my first multi-pitch climb and Shankar instilled confidence by remaining cool and calm. I’ll always remember his words “slow is smooth; smooth is efficient “.
