I highly recommend Sylvan Rocks for anyone seeking a quality climbing experience. We had an awesome outing. Our guides (Chris, Bears & Ryan) were phenominal and provided just the right amount of instruction, encouragement, support, and challenge for each of the individual climbers in our group (who ranged from first-time climbers to very experienced). Sylvan Rocks is outstanding!
Our first "outdoor" climbing adventure - Custer State Park in the Black Hills. Brandon matched us to routes that were challenging but not so difficult we couldn't finish. His knowledge of the sport and the area are second to none. We summited 4 routes - and I was even able to "try" a 5th route graded at 5.11 a/b that was awesome. We are planning on returning next summer - hopefully with a few friends from our indoor gym. Haven and I recommend Sylvan Rocks without question!
Friendly, fun, down to earth people. Booked a three day rock climbing tour of the Black Hills. My experience was custom tailored to me and Brandon made sure I was comfortable climbing every route, we made a game plan each day. Even before traveling to SD he made sure things were in place and communicated any questions or issues I had. Stellar customer service and guiding! I can not thank them enough for helping me become a better climber and for a life time experience I will never forget. Will book again.
