I highly recommend Sylvan Rocks Climbing. They had a climbing trip that was the right length and skill level for me. Doug, my guide, is awesome! He observed me, saw where I could use some improvement (foot placement), and took me to a slab to practice. We then submitted one of the pinnacles! An AWESOME accomplishment!! I am a much better climber after a day with Doug!
Chris and Ben were extraordinary! They were responsible, knowledgeable, entertaining, and encouraging! This was a sweet reward for my 16-year-old daughter and I. I would highly recommend to any family or group of friends. Thank you so much!
This is my review of the second time climbing with Sylvan Rocks. As was with our first trip safety was a huge priority. We went to the Palisades State Park in eastern South Dakota. Jeff was our guide there, and he is truly an outstanding instructor for beginning climbers like my son and I. He definitely made it easy to gain confidence and try harder routes. If you’re looking for something fun and exciting to do on a South Dakota vacation you have found it. If you’re like my son and I and you’ve got the bug to get a little more serious about rock climbing these guys are excellent instructors, and will get you on the way to achieving your goals. Thanks to everyone at Sylvan Rocks Hope to be back doing it again soon.
