Pete Gaeta

From New England, Peter grew up close by the mountains but did not venture into them until his late teens. Since then, Peter has fallen in love with spending time in the mountains and the great activities that come with it.

After graduating from an Outdoor Leadership Associates degree at Colorado Mountain College, Peter went straight into the guiding world. For the past 4 years, he has been working full time in Colorado and New Hampshire as a rock/ice climbing guide and instructor. He is now psyched to continue his guiding career in the Black Hills of SD.

When Peter is not guiding or climbing you can find him kayaking on the river or cooking a Michelin star meal.

Had a great 3-day climbing trip with my two sons. We climbed around Sylvan Lake day 1, the Cathedral Spires day 2, and Devils Tower day 3. Doug and Chris were incredible guides that always kept us both safe and challenged. Lifetime experience!

Went with three kids (9, 8, 7 years old) and husband. Shankar was FANTASTIC! Got all three kids to the top, and both adults. None of us had any previous climbing experience. This was by far the highlight of our trip to SD. Best way to experience Custer Park!

This place was amazing. My daughter (age: 7) and I loved climbing with them. Our guide was super knowledgeable and amazing with our daughter!!!! Will definitely climb with them again!
