We chose to rock climb as a family of four last minute and we're so glad we did. It was one of the highlights of our South Dakota trip. Daryl found us a guide who was personable and patient. My 5 and 7 year old were able to climb 15 and 30 foot cliffs and my wife and I found the climbs exhilarating and fun. The price was reasonable and it fit well into a day trip to Custer State Park.
Our guides Jeff (owner) and Ross were excellent. Taught us the basics of the gear, eqpt, tying the rope figure 8, and making sure we were secure and safe. Shared climbing tips and tricks. It was our family's first time and it was such a positive experience for the kids that they loved and enjoyed it inspite of cooler temp and the wind blowing keeping us cooler than what we wanted (floridians). They were great with the kids and were able to keep them interested, motivated and encouraged to keep going for the top or take a break and go for it again :) They made it fun!!! Now they want to climb wherever they can in florida ;) Thank you for taking such great care of our family and making it a memorable and enjoyable experience for all!
Amazing guide service and down to Earth people! We had some experience going in, but Jeff spent a lot of time teaching us the skills we requested. They are very flexible and make it easy to customize your day. They are very knowledgeable of the area and took us up spectacular climbs with beautiful views perfect for our skill level! Couldn't have asked for a better experience. Recommend the 8 hour day if you're wanting instruction.
