I highly recommend Sylvan Rocks. We climbed at Custer State Park for the 4 hour package with a family group of 11 people (ages 9 to 47) and our guides (Lindsay, Chris, Ben) expertly trained and supported us all in climbing. They took time to patiently outfit our group, trained us in climbing techniques, encouraged climbers, and coached those who wanted to learn belay technique. I noticed how they used our names and gently provided support when climbers were stuck. The experience left us with an interest in climbing again!

Hubby and 2 kids (11 and 15) had the pleasure of embarking on this climbing adventure with Shankar as guide and they absolutely loved it! Shankar fueled the day w knowledge, humor, and enthusiasm! We will proudly display our Sylvan Rocks car stickers and make reservations to climb again ASAP! Next time they climb they get to go to even cooler climbing spots cuz they have done “climbing 101” already! Bring snacks and water!

Brandon worked with me on the timing of our trip, allowing me to finish up a day of work and go in the late afternoon/evening. Showed me the foundational skills of safe climbing , within the time we had and even guided me up a ~100' 5.5 climb. He is an hard working, safety focused, and inspiring young man that I wouldn't hesitate to go out with again. His crew is great.
