Ben Wade

Originating from Redlands, California, Ben Wade is now beginning his first season with Sylvan Rocks. He was first introduced to climbing by his folks at the ripe young age of 2 (check out his photos for proof!) and has pursued the sport ever since.

Ben recently graduated with a Bachelor’s in Physical Geography from Montana State University. Here he developed himself as an all-round outdoor enthusiast by exploring new avenues of getting outside by learning to fish, hunt, and backcountry ski. Following his degree, Ben picked up a job as a coordinator at the MSU Outdoor Recreation Program running the day-to-day tasks of the shop and providing support to the many outdoor courses the program facilitates.

From climbing around the world in locations such as Canada, England, Italy, and Australia, Ben has experienced the diversity in the community that climbing has to offer. Now he is excited to join the community of the Black Hills and experience the exceptional climbing that South Dakota has to offer.

This was hands down the most fun I've ever had. The guides Chris, and Ben we're nice, and professional. If you are up for a new challenge, then I would recommend climbing with Sylvan Rocks. I am new to the scene but this was awesome for an outdoors experience. Thank you guys again, and I will definitely be coming back!
