Amanda Danduran

Amanda has been lucky enough to call the Rocky Mountains her home for her entire life. Whether it be climbing, trail running, hiking, or backpacking, she’s always been drawn to a life outdoors. For the warmer months of the year, she has worked as a hiking/rock climbing guide in Colorado where she guides on 14,000 ft peaks, class 4 traverses, and on single pitch climbing days. In the colder months, Amanda works in New Hampshire, as a mountaineering guide. She began guiding for Sylvan Rocks during the summer in 2024.

Amanda is driven by the ever evolving learning process that is required while in the backcountry. She loves to inspire confidence through instructing and strives to help others to gain a new perspective in the outdoors.

We had a fantastic time today, Ryan and James were professional beyond measure. We brought our 4 grandchildren 11 - 6 and the guides were so patient with them providing a fun and educational opportunity for all. We were extremely impressed with the accomplishments that the kids made during the 4 hours. Sylvan Climbing School was a huge highlight of the trip! Highly recommend this as part of anyones vacation plans for the Black Hills.

Awesome experience! Daryl was our guide and he was great. He was personable and knowledgeable. He was a patient instructor and made sure we had a fun time. The climbs were a blast.

Had a great 3-day climbing trip with my two sons. We climbed around Sylvan Lake day 1, the Cathedral Spires day 2, and Devils Tower day 3. Doug and Chris were incredible guides that always kept us both safe and challenged. Lifetime experience!
