Lander Turkey Shoot, 5.6, on the west end of Inner Outlet
After
passing the brown Custer State Park cabin on the left and the remains of a stone
structure at the base of a pinnacle on the right, follow the first
trail to the right. Up the hill, you will arrive at the end of a large
rock mass. This is Inner Outlet. Take the trail to the left past the
arrow placed long ago by John Gill, and look for the newish bolts on a
spire attached to the main mass at the base. The good bolt spacing make
this route a favorite to get acquainted with Needles climbing. Follow
the bolt line to the top (80 feet). For a long time you had to rap
using a Needles simul-rappel. There are now rap anchors. One rope rap.
Gear: Quickdraws.
