Riddle, 5.6

From the brown Custer State Park cabin hike down the trail and leave the Sunday Gulch trail where it makes a hard left turn.  Follow the climbers trail across the hill and up to the saddle.  This is the spire on your right when you reach the top of the saddle that is the beginning of the Middle Earth climbing area. Start on the northwest corner of the spire following the bolt line with a couple of traditional climbing gear placements in the horizontal cracks. Reach over the summit to extend the anchor over the top of the spire. Setting up the anchor for this one is a bit of a trick.  A one rope rap from the chain anchors gets you to the ground on the opposite side of the spire (you can top rope the face below the anchor, but top roping Riddle is difficult to set up).

Gear: Quickdraws, and a few small to medium cams.
