Hrum Hroom, 5.7 in Middle Earth

From the saddle at Riddle, turn left and follow the worn trail up hill. Past Quick Beam (a 80’ two bolt 5.5 route) on the right. Just past the cleft which divides the two routes, start up on the face to clip the first bolt. By the 2nd or 3rd bolt the crux is over, and you are on you way to the top of a fun route and the great views of the Black Hills from the summit. We often take friends and families up this climbing route.  One rope rap from the chains.  You can set a top rope anchor from here, and practice some great outdoor face climbing.

Gear: Draws, trad. gear, small stopper and long sling to protect the top section (can sling a horn).
