Intermediate Rock Climbing

Intermediate Rock Climbing 1 day (6 hrs.) Rock climbing at your ability level.

Been rock climbing before and want to build your skills and see some new places?  The Black Hills is a perfect place to become confident that your are doing things right to stay safe in the vertical world.  Custer State Park provides a beautiful place to learn and explore.  This course goes beyond the fundamentals, and is a perfect transition from climbing in a rock gym to climbing outdoors on real rock.  (This course or the equivalent is a prerequisite for Devil's Tower Climbing trips.)

• Build upon your climbing skills and safety procedures.
• Learn to place and remove climbing gear with a lead climber.
• Understand the basics of building anchors for multi-pitch and top-ropes.
• Take your climbing to the next level.
• Sign up for a day climbing at Mount Rushmore area and a summit trip up Devils Tower.
