Sylvan Lake Lodge - The original Sylvan
Lake Lodge was built on the banks of Sylvan Lake. The trail we hike on around the lake was
originally a carriage road that lead to the Lodge in the 1920's. The current lodge was built after a
catastrophic fire burnt the original lodge to the ground. You will also find many of the Black hills
finest cabins surrounding the lodge, and staying there is a great way to
vacation in the Black Hills. Its about 9 miles from Hill
City, and 7 miles from Custer, SD
right on the scenic Byway atop Needles Highway so
you are very close to many great attractions. From the lodge you can climb with Sylvan Rocks, hike Harney Peak, fish in Sylvan Lake and enjoy fine dining without ever starting your car. Now thats a vacation to remember!
