Fishing

Custer State Park Fishing - As I hike out to climb around Sylvan Lake, hardly a day goes by that there aren't folks out there fishing for trout.  The Custer State Park lakes are stocked by the South Dakota Fish and Game, so the fishing is generally pretty darn good.  A South Dakota Fishing License is required for anyone over 16, and can be purchased at the Sylvan Lake General Store and many other outlets in Custer and Hill City.  Fly fishing in the streams near the Game Lodge and the campgrounds in the Southern parts of Custer State Park has entertained presidents and sportsmen of all walks of life.  Cook your catch in some butter in your skillet over the campfire and experience one of life's great pleasures.  If your luck isn't good, you can also go "fishing" in Custer State park by ordering trout at the Game Lodge... it is one of my fathers favorites.

No,I didn't take this photo in Custer State Park
