Anchors & Top Rope Set-up
Building solid climbing anchors is a skill every climber needs. It is most often learned by setting up top-rope climbing systems. Once a climber can safely set up a top-rope system and belay, they can go climbing anywhere they can access the top. Good anchors are key if a climber ever wants to learn to lead climb. From top roping to hauling gear on aid climbs, bomber anchors are essential. Learn the tricks of the trade to set up an anchor quickly and keep it organized.
Grab a friend or two, so that together you will remember everything. Come and let us show you the ropes. We will help you understand the forces generated, and how setting things up the right way will work, and why the wrong way may fail.
