Schedule:
9am to 1pm-Visit four of the following five stations for a 50 minute session at each one:
1) Better Gear Placement - you want it to be there when you fall.
  • Review the types of gear we use and how to place it for maximum protection.
2) Building Better Anchors - strong enough for your mama.
  • From Top Rope to Multi - pitch, Everyone needs a good anchor.
3) Safer Rappelling - you aren't safe ‘till you are all the way down.
  • Simple, quick backups that keep you alive when you are tired or conditions are bad.
4) Better Belay Techniques - what if you forget your device?
  • Do you know anyone who has ever been dropped? Me too...lets figure out how to avoid this.
5) Intro to Raising Systems - a little help for your friends.
  • Its the end of the day, your tired, hurt, or just can't quite keep up with your partner...they can help you.

1:30 to 3:30-Self Rescue Seminar
Do you know how to escape the belay? Let's face it, there are times when bad things happen to good people. Know how to help yourself and your climbing partners. Belay escapes will be the primary focus of this session. Combine this with other skills presented in the morning, and you will have the basic tools for most self rescue situations.

First ascents of some mighty big hills, to climbing here in the Black Hills. Peter has been climbing and guiding mountains, rock and heli-skiing longer then many of us have been alive, and he is still doing it. You will not want to miss this slide show.
Beginners to expert climbers - something for everyone to learn.
Bring, harness, helmet, prusik rope, over the shoulder sling and cordelette if you have them.
